People think that parenting is innate. While some of it is learned by internalizing what we observed from our own parents, there are still a lot of things that are not instinctive. These may require coaching if they are to be navigated successfully. This is necessary because there are inevitable stumbling blocks from infancy to young adulthood. Asking for coaching does not mean you are bad parent. It is common to come across problems with your child that you that don't know how to address. They can range from sleep difficulties to school phobias, bullying, peer pressure or oppositional struggles. These are complex issues that most people need some help with.

One of the most important things about parenting is learning to listen to what your child is saying so that they feel understood before you impose any advice or judgment. Once you've heard what their complaint is, you have taken the first steps toward understanding how to help them. This paves the way for additional coaching in areas like negotiating, setting limits, and establishing healthy boundaries. With proper guidance, you can help your child through challenges and build a stronger parent-child relationship at the same time.
